Effective Date: June 8, 2026
At The Press of Asia, we are transparent about how we use artificial intelligence in our newsroom. This policy outlines our approach and commitments.
- What AI We Use
We use AI tools for:
Research assistance: Gathering information from public sources to support story development.
Copy editing: Grammar, spelling, and readability improvements.
Headline optimization: Generating alternative headlines for SEO and engagement.
Image alt text: Generating descriptive alt text for accessibility.
Data analysis: Processing public data for charts and visualizations.
- What AI Does NOT Do
AI is never used for:
Writing complete news articles without human review and editing.
Generating quotes, sources, or attributions.
Creating fake facts, figures, or witness accounts.
Replacing human editorial judgment.
- Human Oversight
Every article published on The Press of Asia is reviewed and edited by a human journalist or editor before publication. AI-generated content is always verified, fact-checked, and edited.
- AI-Generated Images
If AI-generated images are used, they are clearly labeled as synthetic content.
- Accountability
The Editor-in-Chief is ultimately responsible for all content published on this platform, regardless of whether AI tools were used in preparation.
