Chennai recorded the highest rates among major cities, with 24-carat gold at Rs 1,43,920 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,31,927 per 10 grams. Kolkata’s 24-carat gold rate was around Rs 1,43,310 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,31,368 per 10 grams.
