Air India has cancelled flights to and from Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah until October 20, 2026, according to Akashvani’s October 16 report citing the airline’s social-media announcement.
The carrier said it was monitoring developments in Saudi Arabia and assessing when operations could safely resume. Passengers affected by the cancellations are being offered a full refund.
Which journeys are affected?
The announcement covers Air India services both to and from the three named Saudi cities. It should not be read as a cancellation notice for every airline or every destination in Saudi Arabia.
What passengers should do
- Check the status of the specific flight and booking before travelling to the airport.
- Contact Air India or the booking agent about the refund applicable to a cancelled journey.
- If the itinerary includes a connection, confirm the onward booking separately.
The stated end date does not, by itself, confirm that services will restart on October 21. Travellers should wait for an updated operating notice rather than assume an automatic resumption.
