Jio Platforms Files IPO Prospectus: October 21–23 Subscription Window and Key Reservations

Jio Platforms has filed its Red Herring Prospectus for an initial public offering scheduled to open on October 21 and close on October 23, 2026, according to reports of Reliance Industries’ October 14 exchange disclosure.

Moneycontrol reported that the filing was made with the Registrar of Companies in Ahmedabad. Business Standard independently reported the subscription dates and reservation details.

The dates and figures to separate

ItemReported detail
RHP filingOctober 14
Anchor biddingOctober 19
Public subscriptionOctober 21–23
Fresh issueUp to 27 crore equity shares
Employee reservationUp to ₹500 crore
Eligible RIL shareholder reservationUp to ₹2,500 crore

The reported ₹10 face value is an accounting denomination of each share. It is not the IPO subscription price. Confusing those two numbers would give readers an inaccurate impression of the offer.

Who is covered by the shareholder provision?

The reports identify eligible public shareholders of Reliance Industries as of October 14, including individuals and Hindu Undivided Families, subject to the offer’s eligibility requirements and applicable restrictions. A reservation creates a category within an issue; it does not guarantee an allotment to every applicant.

Moneycontrol says the RHP follows a draft prospectus submitted on June 19 and a SEBI observation letter dated August 28. These are separate steps in the offer process. The subscription window is also separate from the eventual trading debut.

What matters beyond the launch excitement

An IPO should be assessed through its business disclosures, offer terms and risk factors rather than a single popularity indicator. Revenue quality, borrowing, capital expenditure and the intended use of proceeds answer different questions from the size of investor demand.

This report does not offer a subscription recommendation or promise a listing gain. Readers should use the final offer documents and official exchange notices for application terms; unofficial grey-market quotations are not assured trading prices.
